Bohemia have revealed that they plan to launch the next stage of Arma 3’s development, moving the game from alpha to beta, later this month. On the 25 June the Arma 3 client will receive a content update adding new weapons, vehicles, and scenarios to be tested by the game’s early adopters.

There’s also talk of a new faction to fight.

PC Gamer got the scoop on this one, presumably from the E3 show floor. Their article also mentions Bohemia’s plans to have player-made scenarios distributed via the Steam Workshop, though they state that the planned feature hasn’t been announced as one to be activated with the beta’s launch.

Though, it is likely that feature will make an appearance for testers prior to the game’s full launch later this year.
