Assassin’s Creed Unity patch 4 has been delayed, and Paris is to blame

Assassin's Creed Unity patch 4 delayed

If you’re still having problems with Assassin’s Creed Unity, you may have been on the look out for patch 4, which was meant to roll out today. Ubisoft expected it to fix the remaining issues with the game as well as improve performance.

The patch won’t be fixing anything today, however.

Ubisoft posted an update announcing the delay earlier today, and provided a vague window for when we can expect to see it.

“Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance to us, and your feedback over these past weeks has indicated that it is important to you as well.

“As stated last week, we’d expected to release the patch today (and we know that many are anticipating its release), but we are choosing to hold off until we can give you the improvements we’ve promised. We are committed to delivering major performance improvements, which requires that we refurbish the Paris map and that will take a few more days to hit the high level of quality our players deserve.”

Given that this is the fourth patch in a month that the game has needed, one might suggest that the rigorous quality control should have been applied before the game was hastily released.

At least everyone’s getting free DLC.
