Battlefield 3: Armored Kill launches for Premium players; tweaks already incoming

Comment

Battlefield 3: Armored Kill, the third DLC pack from DICE, has finally launched. The wait's been worse knowing that PS3 players where running about all over the place for a whole extra fortnight, discovering gnomes and dinosaurs without us. Now though, if you're a Premium subscriber, you can hop into a tank and blow the bones out of other players right now.

DICE are already working on tweaks for the game, details of when and what below.

The tweak deets were revealed by game designer Gustav Halling on his blog:

Mobile Artillery
The Mobile artillery’s “Proximity Defense” unlock is causing players to “suicide” when being used in both vehicles with higher reprorate in the US HIMARS.

Gunship in Rush
Defenders have been having a hard time winning the last week and we are making tweaks to even out the battlefield =)
The Gunship will respawn after 90 seconds instead of 60 seconds in Rush after being destroyed.

Alborz Mountains Conquest Large (PC only)
On conquest large there is a bug where the Russian attack helicopter doesn’t show up in the spawn menu.
It is however spawned in so either drive down to it or use a airplane as a “spawner” closer to it.

The patch is being delivered server side so there won't be any downloads involved. It should be hitting the servers at some point next week.

So, now that it's out, what is it like? I'd love to tell you but I'm running the internet through my phone and can't hope to download the expansion. Though reports are "Lovely stuff".
