Battlefield 4 beta release date set for Fall 2013

Comment

DICE community manager Ian Tornay has taken to reddit to directly address community concerns after the continuing saga of Battlefield 4’s difficult announcement. In a clear statement of intent, Ian says that Battlefield 4 development will not impact on further work taking place on Battlefield 3, and that there will be other ways to enter the beta aside from buying Medal of Honor Warfighter.

“The beta will be Fall of 2013,” says Ian. “We don’t have a Battlefield 4 release date yet but, of course, it will be after the beta.”

He continues, “There are several teams at DICE. Starting work on Battlefield 4 does not mean that we will be abandoning Battlefield 3 or working any less hard to bring you the best expansions we can.” Ian also notes that feedback from Battlefield 3 players is already being taken on board, extending to better eSports support, Battlerecorder and a Spectator mode.
