The cash-guzzling black hole known as the Steam Autumn Sale has arrived

Steam Autumn Sale begins

Oh, bugger. Just as I was counting my pennies, content in the knowledge that every family member I tolerate is getting a half-decent Christmas present this year, Steam goes chucks petrol on my plans and lights a match. Yes, a Steam Sale is upon us, and it’s autumnal one, despite winter knocking at the door. November 27 to December 3, that’s how long you have to hold out for if you don’t want to throw all of your money at Valve.

I have no idea how I’m going to manage it.

The inaugural Daily Deals offer a nice selection, including the surprisingly excellent undercover cop yarn,Sleeping Dogs and the truly terrifying horror survival title, Outlast. You’ll save the most by picking up Telltale’s The Walking Dead, which comes with five episodes, and a sixth if you shell out a couple of quid for 400 Days, also on sale.

Left 4 Dead 2: £3.74

Sleeping Dogs: £3.99

Outlast: £5.09

The Elder Scrolls 4: Skyrim: £3.74

Rogue Legacy: £4.07

The Walking Dead: £5.24

Antichamber: £3.74

Terraria: £1.49

Prison Architect (Early Access): £9.99

Nothing stands out in the 8 hour Flash Sale, though I’ve heard good things about Early Access title Castle Story. It’s only been discounted by 33 percent, however.

I already own every game on offer other than the Flash Sale items, so I think I can relax today and not have to have a panic attack as I watch my rapidly draining bank account cry out in agony. How are you holding up?
