City of Heroes' end is nigh and we've got the itinerary

Comment

City of Heroes servers are going to be switched off on 30 November, ending an era of pants on the outside of tights tomfoolery. Paragon studios are set on making it end on a high, though. There's going to be parties, invasions, and a knife twisting double XP weekend.

Details after the break.

According to Rock, Paper, Shotgun events will play out like this:

Summer Blockbuster – October 5 – October 8
Double XP – October 18 – October 22
Halloween Event – October 26 – October 29
Winter Event – November 9 – November 12
Rikti Invasion – November 23 – November 30
Live Server Shutdown – November 30 12:00 AM PDTIf you've not yet got a City of Heroes account I'm afraid you're not going to be able to rub shoulders with the superheroes when the end comes: according to Paragon Studios' FAQ they've ceased account creations and have begun the process of refunding anyone with outstanding game time.Looks like we outsiders are going to be watching the YouTube feeds as the walls of the world come tumbling down.If you think you're in line for a refund then you should hop on over to that FAQ because it outlines the entire process of getting your coin back.
