CS:GO getting big update on Monday; new maps, bug fixes, and large revisions to matchmaking

Comment

The Global Offensive team have revealed some of the changes that are coming in an update this Monday. Two new maps, a slew of bug fixes, and an all new revision of the matchmaking system.

More on these below.

Writing on the CS:GO blog, the team reveal that "On Monday, we will release a major update to CS:GO. It will feature a revised matchmaking system for Classic Competitive mode, two maps (the classic de_vertigo and the fast-paced ar_monastery), and a ton of bug fixes based on community feedback."

We caught the dropped hint of de_vertigo earlier this week but the news of ar_monastery is, well, new. Both we knew nothing about it and it's an all new map.

Then there's those matchmaking changes. This is what we have to go on at the moment:

Which seems to show off you being able to form a team and search for matches as a group, hopefully for other complete teams.

We'll give you the lowdown on Monday once the update goes live.
