Crysis 3's Hunted mode brings Predator to the CryEngine

Comment

New multiplayer game types are rare beasts, but Crysis 3 may well have brought down an elephant with its newly announced Hunted mode. 14 soldiers must make it to an evac point, two nanosuit-wearing hunters must stop them. It brings the setup of the Predator movies tantalisingly close.

Crysis 3 is the perfect game for this mode too. The city overtaken by jungle and swamp provides plenty of architecture for the hunters to hide in and pick off soldiers from, whilst also providing the evac party a good deal of cover to advance between. Plus, the water provides the soldiers with a good defense against the hunters' invisibility.

I'd consider this, along with the gorgeous tech, by far the most interesting thing coming out of Crysis 3.
