Dark Souls 2 is out and we’ve given it a verdict in our Dark Souls 2 review.
Japanese fountain of gaming knowledge Fatismu have looted four short clips from Dark Souls II, each demonstrating a different class. I’m calling them out as fakes, though, since the last time I played a Souls game I couldn’t last the length of one of these videos without dying, and not once in any of these videos is there depicted a brutal death. So either this is all BS, From Software nerfed the game, or I’m just a terrible player. Realistically, you should put money on the last option.
The videos show footage from the game played as a Warrior, a Sorcerer, a Temple Knight, and a Dual Swordsman. Despite their being no deaths in any of the videos, it does look to retain the series’ fascination with unrelenting punishment, with a fair few blows from enemies eating health bars like Pacman eats pills. It’s also got that dingy atmosphere going on again, so this is unmistakably a Souls game.
