Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s first story DLC, System Rift, is go

E3 2016 Deus Ex Mankind Divided

Just a month after its worldwide release, Eidos has announced its first story-based DLC for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift – is now live. What lovely people. I’ve always liked Eidos, ya hear?

Check out our Deus Ex: Mankind Divided review here.

Interestingly, while System Rift is available for PC and Xbox One owners, there appears to be an issue with PlayStation Network, meaning the PS4 release has been delayed. Lets have a moment of silence for our PlayStation brethren.

“In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift, you will re-unite with Frank Pritchard, Adam’s friend and former colleague at Sarif Industries, and assist him in hunting down information on the mysterious Santeau Group,” details Eidos in its release blurb.

“Desperate to get more information, Pritchard targets one of the most secure data banks ever created – the Palisade Blade. In agreeing to help, Adam may also be able to uncover hints as to who the illuminati really are.”

You can see the official System Rift trailer below. It features Adam Jensen sporting an impressive beard and what’s clearly a waxed chest. Tsk. Where does he find the time?

As a celebration, Eidos is also serving up a “free Pritchard-inspired” update for Deus Ex GO on Android and iOS. They’re the operating systems that power those little PC type things you keep in your pocket.

“Between Sunday September 25, 5pm PST and Sunday October 2, 5pm PST you will have the chance to play as Pritchard as part of the weekly Live Puzzles updates,” Eidos added.

“During this limited time offer, there will be new and challenging hacking themed puzzles, with increased difficulty, designed to test even the most experienced of Deus Ex GO players.”

What’s a mobile phone game, anyway?
