Diablo 3 Season 3 begins tomorrow; will last four months according to Blizzard

Diablo 3 Season 3

The third Season of Diablo 3 starts tomorrow, heralding a fresh start and a promise of exciting loot. Along with the reset, players can expect to find new Seasonal exclusive weapons, armour and gems; players who reach level 70 will be rewarded with a spiffing transmog set piece. Also, according to Blizzard, Season 3 will aim to last around four months, as they further test the waters for a fitting Season length.

Believe it or not, but Blizzard are still trying to figure out exactly how long Seasons should last. “We generally feel that Season 1 was on the long side, and that Season 2 was on the short side.” explained senior technical game designer Wyatt Cheng. “We want to strike a balance between having enough points in time when we can all commence this journey together, but also allow enough time for characters to mature.

“Expect Season 3 to be at least 4 months long. While the exact end date is not yet known, we plan on once again giving 2 weeks’ notice before Season 3 ends.”

To make sure you’re at the starting line and ready to go when the gun goes off, here’s when Season 3 starts for your region:

North America: Friday, April 10 @ 6:00 p.m. PDT

Europe: Friday, April 10 @ 6:00 p.m. CEST

Asia: Friday, April 10 @ 6:00 p.m. KST

With patch 2.2.0 now live in both NA and EU, Season 3 aims to be a breath of fresh air to veterans and new players alike. Which class are you playing?
