A first look at Diablo 3’s PvP Graveyard map

You'll need to talk to Nek the Brawler in New Tristram to reach the duelling zone.

Diablo 3 patch 1.0.7 is a lot of things, but mostly it’s about swarming your closest friends with summons to prove a point. You'll do this via the Scorched Chapel, a new duelling zone designed for PvP free-for-alls which will feature four different areas - the church, the lake, the river and the graveyard. It’s the latter that’s been uncovered in horadric.ru’s latest round of datamining.

The Graveyard has been discovered alongside a mini-map in the patch’s texture files. Duelling will support between two and four players in a free-for-all deathmatch, and the whole thing will be consequence-free thanks to instant zone respawns - even for Hardcore players.

“Our intent is to provide players a safe, opt-in location where they can fight one another for bragging rights (or maybe science) without the potential for griefing as it existed in Diablo II,” said technical game designer Wyatt Cheng yesterday.

To reach the Scorched Chapel, you’ll need to talk to Nek the Brawler at the New Tristram inn. Here’s how you’ll know him:

It takes a very particular sort of man to conjure jovial and belligerent at the same time. I’m sure the pleasure will be all ours.

Thanks, Incgamers.
