Dishonored 2 releases tomorrow for people who didn’t pre-order – here’s when

Dishonored 2 release time

Update November 11, 2016: If you didn’t pre-order Dishonored 2, but decided to pick it up today instead, perhaps after reading some initial impressions, you might be wondering what time it unlocks. We’ve got your back.

Just as yesterday, the times are split by region for the next unlock. Just check out the times listed below and apply those to tomorrow’s launch.

We’re just about coming up to the time to decide the best PC games of 2016.

Original Story November 9, 2016:Today’s the day if you’re a fan of neck-stabs, time manipulation and character picks – Dishonored 2 will launch on Steam later tonight, with release time based on region. We’ve done all the maths for you and laid it out below, as well as how to get access.

Dishonored 2 is region-split on release time, going live at midnight in your region’s major timezone. That doesn’t necessarily mean midnight where you actually live, however. Here’s a quick guide:

  • USA: Midnight EST
    • That’s 9pm PST
  • Europe: Midnight GMT
    • That’s 1am CET
    • 2am if you’re a little further east but still in Europe
  • India: Midnight JST
    • This likely applies to Australia and other countries in Oceania as well.

The easiest way to check on your own launch time is on Steam. Remember that it rounds down at all times – if it says three hours to go and it’s 8:30pm, that means midnight is go-time.

To get access to all this, you’ve got to pre-order. The game will be on general release come midnight tomorrow, though exactly what will happen if you buy it during that intervening period isn’t clear. We’ve asked Bethesda for clarification, as if buying it once it’s on early access gives you that early access, that doesn’t make it a whole lot different from the full release.

We’ll have news about how our review is coming along very soon. As always, we’d recommend giving it a bit of time to see how good the game is before putting your cash down.
