Doom’s launch trailer is very Doom. I don’t know what I expected, really. Running around and splatting demons in close-quarters, quick-strafing gun combat, jumping through the air while raining down rockets – if these things appeal, Doom is the game for you. Though it seems there might be a downbeat bit at the beginning before you find your, ahem, helmet.

Yep, the Doom launch trailer is full of all the stuff you’re probably expecting, which is a good thing if you’re a Doom fan. Because as we all know – people who love retro games are terrified of change.
