It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, not Christmas, that’s months away luckily, of course it’s Halloween! Where you get to dress up as spooky stuff and bother a car manufacturer about when your favourite game will be getting a seasonal game mode. Not so fast, Dota fans.

Dota’s annual scarefest is by now more famous for the times it wasn’t released than when it was and this year, sadly, will only further that reputation.

As yet another Halloween slips by with no Roshan candy hunt, we should probably give up on the game mode ever returning particularly as there were only two years it did happen and we all know what Valve thinks comes after two. Zero. It’s zero.
