Dota 2 now available for Mac and Linux. Let the world domination continue

Earlier this month Dota 2 was finally unleashed on the world (well, for all two people who weren’t in the beta). Still, there were still three other potential players Valve needed to grab – those folk playing Mac and Linux. With an update pushed out last night, bringing the game to both platforms, those final three were mopped up.

Now penguins and fruitarians can all play together with the PC-ites. You can pick up the relevant copy of Dota through Steam.

The minimum specifications were released, too:

Dota 2 Mac OS X Minimum System Requirements:

Mac OS X Lion 10.7

4GB RAM

8GB Hard drive space

nVidia 320M or higher, or Radeon 7000 or higher, or Intel HD 3000 or higher

Dota 2 Linux Minimum System Requirements:

Ubuntu 12.04

Dual core from Intel or AMD at 2.8 GHz

4GB RAM

8GB Hard Drive Space,

nVidia GeForce 8600/9600GT, ATI/AMD Radeon HD2600/3600 (Graphic Drivers: nVidia 310, AMD 12.11), OpenGL 2.1

OpenAL Compatible Sound Card
