Dying Light’s incoming expansion, The Following, has grown some since it was first announced last summer. It’s not a standalone, but with the amount of new stuff developers Techland promise to pack into its zombie-infested confines, it may as well be. The Following’s map, for example, stretches twice as far as the original’s, and the latest trailer showcases six of its new locales.

No matter how you like your zombie apocalypse, our list of the best zombie games on PC has you covered.

The Granary, the Old Graveyard, the Race Track, the Lighthouse, Hermit’s Cabin and the Ghost Town all star in Techland’s latest glance at The Following’s new game world.

There’s a nice mix of wide-open, parkour-ready arenas, and some more linear and confined spaces on show, all of which suggest quick-thinking and deft tactician-ing is a must in order to survive this one. As always, it gets a shit-sight scarier after dark. Business as usual, then. Here’s the new region in action:

“We made sure the new region is full of diverse environments that allow for both driving and free-running,” says the game’s producer Tymon Smektała. “We’ve added lots of little details that tell various apocalyptic stories if you look closely, and placed rewarding secrets for the most inquisitive.

“We’re also proud to confirm that despite the much bigger map and many visual enhancements, the system requirements for PC players remain exactly the same.”

For even more on the new zones, Techland revealed an interactive map last week, which allows you to scour interesting locations and big story indicators ahead of time.

Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition is due the week after next on February 9. Let us know if you’ll be joining the fun/abject terror in the comments below.
