Skyrim Dragonborn DLC trailer shows off Solstheim locations and dragon mounts

What’s that? Somebody said you were the dovahkiin? Oh man, this is awkward. I was a dovahkiin too. Me, Bethesda community manager Nick Breckon’s mum, and enough dragonborn to fill the maternity wards with tiny Nordic heroes. All dovahkiin. And then there was this guy with the nutcracker face, though I don’t remember him being there at the time. He’s the star of the new Skyrim DLC.

The Dragon Priest ruled over the island of Solstheim a terribly long time ago, and was apparently pretty awful with it. If you remember Solstheim from anywhere, it’ll be Morrowind expansion Bloodmoon.

Situated northeast of Vvardenfell and east of Skyrim, it’s home to plenty of angry Nords and perfectly placed for crossover between modern-day Elder Scrolls and brown-hued series darling Morrowind.

Elsewhere in the trailer you’ll notice new enemy types – some betentacled, others stoney and humanoid, others still pointy-eared and mounted on boars.

And of course, there’s that mountable dragon. Crikey. Looking forward to that, are you?

Thanks, Polygon.
