If you want to play Far Cry 3 online you’ll have to play Atlas and carry the server yourself, Ubisoft have confirmed.
“The online experience does not support dedicated servers,” said Ubisoft community manager MSV-Vextor in a post on the publisher’s official forums, plucked from obscurity by Redditors.
Far Cry 2 also launched without dedicated servers from Ubisoft, although other third-parties later hosted its multiplayer unofficially.
