Even if you have never heard about Jeremy Soule, you have probably heard his captivating talent. Skyrim, Guild Wars 2 and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria are just some of his most recent works, but he’s left his mark on our most beloved games since 1994. Now Jeremy has taken to Kickstarter to raise funds to create his Soule Symphony No. 1, “The Northerner”.
Spoiler: He’s already 50% over his target at the time of writing.
Now you've had a week to dive about the Pandaren's land of bamboo and monasteries Blizzard are cracking open The Vault of Mogu'shan, a new normal level raid. The coming weeks will see the raid expand out into a harder instance, and gain functionality like the Raid Finder.
Whilst there's a large patch in the works for World of Warcraft, Blizzard have been applying many smaller updates to the game since releasing the 5.0.5 update. You may not have spotted them coming into play because these fixes don't require a download and are applied server side.

You’ll have no doubt heard something of it, this Mists of Pandaria. The rustle of a bamboo hat, perhaps, or the snap of a leash attached lovingly around the oesophagus of a new pet. Maybe you’ve waited with breath bated; maybe you’ve paid no heed. But none of that matters now, because we’ve arrived.
The coast of Pandaria is in sight, and the good ship PCGamesN is laden with a cargo of prizes that leave us travelling at a pitiful rate of knots. Like, one, or two. Whatever’s bad. By my reckoning we’re still five days out, and that won’t do at all.
The 400-page books will be released on September 25th in both Signature Series and Limited Edition formats with an RRP of £14.99 and £19.99 respectively.
Considering World of Warcraft's Mists of Pandaria expansion is appears to be a big "Will you go out with me" to the Chinese market from Blizzard, the mega publisher must be breathing a sigh of relief that the Chinese government has said yes.
World of Warcraft players can get their install of the game all prepped and ready for the launch of the next World of Warcraft expansion by downloading the sizeable Mists of Pandaria pre-launch patch.

Thinking of spending your days capturing wild animals, taming them, and then flogging them on the auction house, condemning them to a life of perpetual combat? And in World of Warcraft? Well, you can’t. In a post to the World of Warcraft forums, Blizzard developer Cory Stockton has noted that players will no longer be able to trade wild pets for the forthcoming
Oh god. The latest Mists of Pandaria beta build opens up Pet Battles to all players. Pet battles are World of Warcraft’s take on Pokemon. The non-combat pets you’ve been carting around in your infinite backpack now have their own mini-game - in which you capture other pets around the world, engage in pet battles against ‘trainers’ dotted around Azeroth and Outland, or take on other players in matchmade competitions.
Blizzard have been quietly, modestly honing and perfecting their movie making skills over the last decade. They're now quite good at doing CGI sequences where a woman looks confusedly at her hands, and her hands start glowing with some nice wispy particle effects, and then she points her hands at a baddie and lots of magic comes out while both the baddie and the woman look surprised about it. So you should be excited that the opening cinematic of upcoming World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria will be shown on day one of Gamescom - that's August 16. It might feature a panda with magic hands.
If strangers on the internet are to be trusted – and let's be honest, they've never let us down before – this is the official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria boxart. Leaked by Redditor JimmijTheRustler, the image has been verified to within an inch of its life, with both the barcode and the ESRB rating checking out. Not that there's anything particularly unbelievable about it, it's a hat-wearing anthropomorphised panda about to do a trick or a magic spell or something. Also, let's pause to reflect on how we live in a world where that's not unbelievable.
Sensing that we'd all like to know a little more more about dead pandas, World of Warcraft's game director Tom Chilton has kindly detailed the changes being made to PvP realms around the release of Mists of Pandaria. Turns out we're not killing each other enough, and that's all about to change.
