Welcome
once again to PCGamesN’s Spotlight on Greenlight, our regular Saturday
feature where we look at the best and the most interesting Greenlight
games that are hoping to make their way onto Steam. We’ve already looked
at dozens of other titles, so why not check out our back catalogue?
Conquest
is a game of hexes. It’s a strategy game, a game of turns, of nudging
units, of stroking chins and/or beards, but you know what? It certainly
isn’t slow and it’s also pretty damn cool. It hits that sweet spot of
being easy to pick up, but difficult to master, and that’s why I’m
shining this week’s Spotlight on Greenlight upon it.
The next major Rift content patch, Conquest, is going to land in the patcher next week, bringing with it a slew of new features, enhancing, PvP, end game content, and letting you mince about with your lower level friends, showing off your fancy armour without ruining their game thanks to the new mentoring mode. There’s also a few more minor additions, detailed below the jump.
Those lovable chaps over at Rift Junkies have had a chat with Rift’s design developer Hal Hanlin about the MMO’s upcoming expansion Conquest. As you may already know, it contains epic battles between three factions at once, something which excites us as much as it makes us glad we’re not game designers.
