Threadless will pay $3,000 for Minecraft T-shirt designsPurveyors of fine T-shirtery, Threadless have announced a competition to scour the land for the best Minecraft T-shirt designs. In return the company will furnish the winners with $3,000 to line their pockets, an all expenses paid trip the Paris-based Minecraft convention which also just happens to be at Disneyland. Oh, and also $500 to spend in their store.

Minecon 2012 headed to Disneyland Paris with an announcement trailer

MINECON, the massive convention held for Minecraft, is happening again, almost like it’s some sort of annual thing. It was held at Las Vegas last year, to celebrate the official release of Mojang’s towering pile of blocks that is their tower building block based simulator. This year, however, they’re headed to Disneyland Paris, on Nonvember 24th-25th. That means all the Minecraft players in Paris can attend. And some from Europe, too. And probably some from America.

Minecon to be held in Europe this yearThe Official Minecon is coming back for a second year, moving from the neon lit debauchery of Las Vegas to somewhere in Europe, which is quite a bit closer to Mojang itself, based in Sweden, but also anyone who also happens to live within the European continent. Crazy. This is all according to a blog post on the Mojang site, which, unfortunately, doesn’t give a whole lot more in terms of information. But there’s a few tidbits.
