Finally, actual dogs: The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot now swaddled in Watch Dogs gear

Mighty Quest home invasions can get a bit repetitive, so a new castle theme will not hurt.

When you think about it, Watch Dogs’ surveillance madness is a good match for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, the game about overzealous home security systems.

And Ubisoft Montreal have thought about it. They’ve bathed the halls of their action RPG in the pale blue light of wall-mounted cameras, and dressed their fantasy heroes in quip-muffling bandanas.

The cap didn’t make it over, somehow. Maybe it’s not so iconic after all; just like our Might Quest for Epic Loot review.

The Watch Dogs content pack introduces a new castle theme – which you can preview by invading a dedicated castle in Opulencia’s Bling’s Landing district.

Ubisoft seem to think their cameras – replete with comedy zoom mechanism involving a couple of magnifying glasses – nicely complement the game’s existing guard dogs.

“Hide from ‘The Man’ controlling the security cameras with the Watch Dogs Bandana costumes,” suggest Ubi. “And when you can’t hide anymore, fight back with the level 30 Watch Dogs themed weapons and capes.”

The castle theme, plus a weapon and cape for each of the game’s four heroes, comes in a half-price limited edition bundle on Mighty Quest’s store.

If you’re new to the game, be advised – level 30 gear is a few days’ dedicated raiding away. I reviewed The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot and emerged feeling profoundly alone, which is rarely a good sign. You have any better luck?
