Prep the antifreeze: Forza Horizon 3’s Blizzard Mountain expansion launches December 13

Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain

In a lovely contrast to the sun-baked roads of Australia, Forza Horizon 3’s Blizzard Mountain expansion, out next month, brings snow, ice, blizzards and deadly drops to the racing series for the very first time. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Celebrate this festive period by tearing up virtual racetracks in our list of the best racing games.

It’s a whole new, winter-themed campaign with over 50 new race events and challenges to compete in, wrestling your vehicles through new courses in the freshest of conditions, along with some of the most extreme Forza has seen.

Hill Climb, Descent and Blizzard race events will test your driving skills unlike anything did in the heat haze of Australia. There are also new Bucket List Blueprint and Rivals events to take part in when you’re done with that lot.

“Blizzard Mountain is a mountain paradise for car fans, full of adventurous terrain and challenging driving conditions,” says the announcement. “New areas like the extreme sports snow park and a massive frozen lake make this the ultimate snowy playground for players’ favourite vehicles. In addition, players will find bonus boards to smash, beauty spots to enjoy, and a brand new hidden Barn Find vehicle.”

As well as the Barn Find, there are six more new vehicles included in the expansion, which is available as part of the $34.99 Season Pass or as a separate purchase.

Skid down the slopes in the 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX, the 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, as well as some classic rally cars and more. Fit your ride with snow tires and take to the mountains on December 13.
