Guild Wars 2 hits two million sales

Comment

Guild Wars 2 has just hit two million unit sales, NCSoft have announced. That's despite ArenaNet having to halt sales of the game last week to prevent server overcrowding. Sales resumed earlier this week, allowing the two week old, chart-topping MMO to reach the lofty milestone shortly afterwards.

Guild Wars 2 is currently available to buy directly from ArenaNet now that server loads of settled down again, though the MMO's rampant popularity has brought with it some inevitable attention from opportunistic hackers probing for weak logins. The developer boasted concurrent player numbers of over 400,000 around launch.

It's something of a success, then.
