In their announcement, Arena-Net have stated that “Unlike previous stress tests, we will be actively working on the game during the event, so you might experience connectivity problems or discover features that are not working as designed. Any issues you experience are a result of the rigorous conditions of the stress test, and are in no way representative of the state of the game at launch. By participating in this stress test, you’re helping us make Guild Wars 2 a better game.”.
It’s great to know they are taking precautionary measures to make sure this is a smooth launch, as we all know other games do not so well at accomplishing this (looking at you Diablo!).
The PC Games N guild won’t be around since the data from the last BWE has been wiped. Stay tuned to hear more about our launch plans though, when the head-start goes live at 8am GMT on August 25th!
