Following the brief closed beta at the end of October, first-person mech battler Hawken is gearing up for a second closed beta session running from November 8 to November 13. Meteor have also announced Hawken’s pre-order bundle options for those looking for exclusive prototype mech rewards, or just to secure their place in the Hawken beta.
Hawken’s Closed Beta 2 will be available to current beta key holders, so anybody who’s registered an account already will be able to hop back in for five days of mech-smashing.
Meteor have also announced a number of pricing options for players looking to pre-order or enter the closed beta. An entry level $5 option will guarantee you a spot in the beta (along with $5 of in-game currency to spend), while higher-priced packages will grant you exclusive mech prototypes,new liveries, special emblems, increased XP and health boosts.
The grandest package of all, at $60, will see your name forever emblazoned within Hawken’s game credits. These packages are being pre-sold at a discount at playhawken.com, with early adopters entering what Meteor are calling “The Vanguard Initiative”.
Hawken goes into open beta on December 12.
