A house but no home: The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 2 trailered to nail-bitey effect

First lesson of TWD: if they call you Friend, shoot them in the head at once.

“A house divided against itself… would be better than this!”, intones Masterbuilder Abraham Lincoln in the Lego Movie, before pootling off in his rocket chair into the stratosphere.

Abe was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press, but The Walking Dead Season 2: A House Divided promises to be better than all sorts of things. That’s an impression based on our Fraser’s fairly glowing Episode 1: All That Remains review, as well as this here trailer.

For a moment there I worried that initial guitar burble would blossom into Pulp Fiction’s opening theme, which would have represented a real tonal u-turn. Instead, A House Divided looks to cover familiar ground – a revolving cast, the question of trust, and the ever-encroaching dead on the peripheral.

Episode 2 is out on PC next week. Fraser reckoned Episode 1 inaugurated its new protagonist with “surprising sophistication” – but bemoaned its lack of bold new design choices. What did you rabble make of it? Let’s keep this spoiler-light – I’m drama-dieting after finishing House of Cards.

Cheers, Xbox Achievements.
