Online racing simulator iRacing has received a full, official Oculus Rift support patch, enabling complete compatibility with the VR goggles. The result is reportedly impressive, resulting in a heavily immersive racetrack environment.
VRSimulation got hands-on with the Rift, and posted a ten-minute walk-through (drive-through?) of the features in action. As ever with Oculus videos, you can never get the full picture since you’re not wearing the goggles, but the enthusiasm in the commentary is enough to make you believe that this new patch has improved iRacing immeasurably.
As each day goes by, yet another new game gets Oculus Rift support. Just how long until the Rift takes over our mortal world? As the classics say, only time will tell.
