Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod copes with 1,300 players

Comment

Reporting a peak of 1,300 players during its most recent server tests, the Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod is quickly becoming one of the most energetic mods on the horizon.

As a singleplayer game Just Cause 2 was a sunny, explosion-filled sandbox that encouraged strapping bombs to cars and driving them into things that go boom. Having people in those things that go boom can only enhance the game, right?

Craig's fears of server instability seem to have been waylaid by results of last week's server stress tests and the news that the - noticeably missing - on-foot weaponry will be included in the next update means that the team behind the mod are getting ever closer to a finished product.

To find out how to get involved in the mod's beta tests you'll need to keep a watchful eye on their forums
