Life is Strange PC Review

Chrysalis, the first episode in Dontnod’s gripping adventure game series Life is Strange will be available to download on PC and console for free as of 21 July. The offer is indefinite, so there’s no hurry to get downloading, but seeing as it’s one of the best indies of all time, the sooner the better.

More surprise PC hits? Indie games are your best bet.

The release of the free episode gives players a chance to get to know protagonists Max and Chloe and experience the core gameplay without spending a penny – which is especially useful if you had no intention of buying it. To get a flavour of what Chrysalis has in store for you, you can watch the trailer for the first episode below.

Dontnod CEO Oskar Guilbert said of the offer, “Although our team set out to create an award-winning narrative we still cannot believe the response we’ve had from players of Life is Strange. We’re really glad that Square Enix have decided to give the first episode away for free so more players can begin their journey and see why people have fallen in love with the game for themselves.”
