Macmillan are gaming for 24-hours to raise money for cancer support

Game Changers Macmillan

With statistics as they are, chances are you may know of someone who’s battled with cancer. Even if you don’t, you’ll know it’s an awful situation to be in, and helping cancer patients is a cause worth donating to. In an effort to raise money for their services, Macmillan Cancer Support are holding a 24-hour gaming marathon on Twitch this weekend.

The Game Changers event will be hosted by 17 popular gamers, including LTZonda, Spamfish, and LeahLovesChief, who will be at Twitch HQ from 12pm on November 14th. They will play games relentlessly for a whole 24 hours. The whole thing will be broadcast at Macmillan’s Twitch channel, where the players will be completing challenges along the way.

If you want to get involved, you too can hold a DIY gaming marathon and donate your raised funds to Macmillan. People who raise more that £150 will be entered into a prize draw.

The event is sponsored by HyperX, who will provide prizes for the DIY draw.

Macmillan are a British charity specialising in aiding cancer patients, from diagnosis through treatment and onto recovery. They help countless people and families through tough times. If you feel like donating and joining in on the fun, be sure to tune into Twitch tomorrow.
