At Gamescom, Hideo Kojima made a lot of people very happy when he confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain would be released on PC via Steam. And with that reveal, the speculation began: would previous Metal Gear Solid games make the trip over, as well?
A tweety tease from Kojima today, while confirming nothing, is likely to inflame speculation even more. There’s a new Metal Gear Solid collection on the way, and it wouldn’t be completely bonkers if it made its way onto PC.

There are a few Metal Gear Solid collections, but the definitive one is Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection. It includes every Metal Gear Solid game, including HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and Peace Walker. It also contains the first two Metal Gear games from way back when.
But it was exclusive to PS3.
There are a lot of things the Metal Gear Collections 2014 could be. It could be a next-gen collection, basically the same as the Legacy one but for PS4 and Xbox One (and maybe even PC). Or it could be a giant collection of everything including Metal Gear Solid V.
Every Metal Gear Solid game on PC, though, that’s a dream worth having. We missed out on 3, 4, Peace Walker and all the HD remakes, and they deserve another good home.
Cheers, CVG.
