Madden 2017 to “make stars of all players” with new modes, $1,000,000 prize pool

EA have announced Madden 2017, coming with more competitive modes, a new commentary team and a year long competition that’ll end with EA handing over $1,000,000 to the lucky winner.

“We want to make stars of all of our players with new competitive modes that’ll make competition fun and meaningful for everyone” said Peter Moore on stage at EA’s live event in London.

These will take the form of Challenger events, Premier events and EA major events. The Challenger events will allow players to host their own events, the Premier events will allow EA to host events with special partners while the EA Majors are marquee events coming directly from EA. Madden 2017 is going to have a 2017 season across four EA Majors, with the winner of the season coming away with some of a $1,000,000 prize fund stumped up by EA. It’s not clear whether or not this’ll all go to one person or be divided up at this stage.
