Planetside 2 has scarcely been born, but like an ancient leviathan it lives by the Old Laws - an eye for an eye, a landmass for a landmass. In its latest update it consumed and digested an entire continent; when it was finished, verdant Amerish had become part of its bulbous whole. In return, the beast now deigns to wrap its service tendrils around another country: Australia.
“Aussie server is live!”, shouted John Smedley this morning via Twitter. Early adopters have told local gaming site Games.on.net that lag is negligible, dramatically improving what it means to play Planetside 2 in Australia. Players had previously suffered from horrific international ping.
