Respawn removes CTF & Pilot Hunter modes from Titanfall PC matchmaking

Titanfall Pilot Removal

PC players of Respawn’s Titanfall will no longer be able to play Capture the Flag or Pilot Hunter playlists in matchmaking. The announcement – coming from Respawn’s official Twitter account – has ensured that players can still play these two modes in “Private Matches and Variety”. It’s been cited that “overlong wait times” are to blame, making for a “poor experience”, which is something that Rob did mention in his Titanfall review.

A blog post by Respawn shortly after the tweet was made explained the reasoning of their actions. “TF and Pilot Hunter have not been widely used modes on the PC version.” said Respawn. “Players trying to access these modes had overlong wait times to find other users and it was making for a poor experience. We want to make sure that not only is there compelling content in the playlists we offer, but that the experience of joining a match works well.”

Whether the two modes will return is yet to be seen. The team have been currently working on new modes and updates and “can’t wait to share the details”.
