We’ve already had Nick break down the technical ins and outs of what HTML5 means for Runescape 3 but, for those of us who can’t make head nor tail of technical talk, the first trailer of the game in action puts into lovely pictures what he put into erudite words.
Well, it’s looking a whole lot more World of WarCraft-y.
The major feature additions that the shift to HTML5 provides aren’t massively PC-centric: it lets Jagex open the game up to other platforms, allowing for the first time cross-platform play with tablet owners. Though on our side of the screen we do get this plush visual overhaul.
Runescape 3 is due for release this summer.
