RuneScape is celebrating Christmas with advent calendars and a hunt for the Anti-Santa

Runescape xmas 2015

Jagex’s MMO RuneScape is putting on its festive gloves to celebrate Christmas this month, and is doing so with serious style across its two games. Both the main RuneScape game and Old School RuneScape are getting unique Christmas quests, and an advent calendar will offer daily rewards.

Loads of MMORPGs have cool Christmas events on. Make sure you check out some of the best MMOs on PC to see their take on winter festivities.

The main RuneScape game will be offering The Pinch Who Stole Christmas, a quest line where players have to investigate the disappearance of characters linked to the winter festival, as well as an iceberg that’s appeared off the coast of Daemonheim covered in presents. Each completed section of the quest line unlocks new Christmas activities, including the adorably names Great Gielinor Bake Off.

Main RuneScape players also receive a special gift every day until 25th December via the in-game advent calendar. Rare items are up for grabs, so check in every day.

Old School RuneScape has a different quest, which sees players try to stop the Anti-Santa, who was kicked out of Death’s home during the Halloween event. Old School players can take part in Jagex’s live streams on Twitch where they can win party and Santa hats from the 2001 and 2002 celebrations. Very old school indeed.

RuneScape’s Christmas events run from now until 11th January 2016.
