Amazingly Rust’s community aren’t drawing cocks on signs. It’s all Salvador Dali instead. Mostly.

Rust signs Dali

Recently Facepunch introduced a new element to Rust that allows players to create their own signs and nail them to the world. This was probably done with braced arms and a hesitant smile. Surely, surely all the players would do is draw cocks all over the place. That’s what gaming is, right?

Not so. It appears that Rust’s community are a little more sophisticated than that. Salvador Dali’s The Fourth Dimension is more their kinda thing.

You can see the impressive recreation of Dali’s surrealist painting in the image above. But that’s not the only impressive use of signs we’ve seen. As highlighted on Rust’s community blog, MadMaxGamer has created a oil tanker by using signs to represent the various controls and machines on board a boat.

It’s clearly not the real thing, but adds a playful element to the game, as if it were inhabited by a bunch of children using cardboard boxes and felt pens to recreate the machines they wished they could own.

Rust signs cock

Of course, there’s always one who needs to be juvenile. A cock was always going to turn up somewhere. Good use of colour, though.
