Secret World Issue 2 delayed again; "severe exploit" has pushed release back a week

Funcom are not having an enjoyable time at the moment, they've laid off half their staff, including the lead game designer, which caused a delay in the second scheduled regular content drop, and now that same content drop has been delayed again. Though this time it was the fault of a "severe exploit" that could have compromised the game.

RPS were the owners of the beady  eyes that spotted this one. In a thread amidst The Secret World forums, Tarib, Funcom's senior community manager, said "There was an issue found that could have led to a severe exploit that we want to fix before "Issue #2 - Digging Deeper" is deployed to the live servers. Unfortunately, it will take us some more time to make sure the issue is removed and the new version has been thoroughly tested."
