There’s no doubt a lot of things that people are looking forward to in Star Citizen, driven by Wing Commander nostalgia and a hunger for space sandboxes. For me, though, it’s all about Mark Hamill. That’s what I’m getting all tingly over — Hamill once again in space, lending his exceptional vocal talents to a Chris Roberts game once again.
And now we know a wee bit about the character he’s playing: Lieutenant Commander Steve ‘Old Man’ Colton. Point your peepers at the reveal teaser below.
It’s always a shame to see older actors being typecast as either wise or crotchety, and the latter is exactly what Roberts envisioned for Colton. Luckily, Hamill stepped in and decided to channel Lee Marvin, whose movie and TV roles included hardboiled detectives and tough veteran soldiers.
