Star Wars Battlefront is EA’s biggest ever beta with almost 10 million players – you beta believe it

Some stats have been released from Star Wars Battlefront’s beta. It looks like it might sell a few units when it’s finally released this November.

Star Wars Battlefront’s beta was mined for data, revealing many of its secrets, including heroes, game modes and maps.

Did you play the Star Wars Battlefront beta? Well, you’re far from alone. In fact, 9.5 million people played it across all three versions, for a total of 1.6 billion minutes. Apparently that’s enough minutes to watch the original trilogy 4.2 million times, according to the data dump.

There was no mention of the prequel trilogy, presumably because only a handful of people can manage to watch it more than once.

In other stats, Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker have each been spawned just under 6 million times each, while 783,392 walkers have met their end.

The beta stats also show that the most popular Star Cards from those available were the Cycler Rifle, the Thermal Detonator and the Jump Pack, in that order. Not that the beta gave much more choice in that department.

So yeah, it’s probably going to sell as well as the Death Star extinguishes planetary life, like we didn’t already know that. This is Star Wars after all.

Star Wars Battlefront releases on November 17.
