WarCraft: Armies of Azeroth is rapidly growing Starcraft II mod that re-envisions Blizzard’s Warcraft III strategy game. Development is still well under way, but it’s far enough that the modders behind it have opted to show off the Alliance faction in action with a new trailer.
Looks promising, no? At any rate, it’s a welcome facelift to a game that’s well over a decade old now.
Even though Blizzard have released all of Warcraft III’s assets to the Starcraft II editor, WarCraft: Armies of Azeroth will continue to use custom, but faithfully recreated models. However, I’m sure the rest of the assets, such as the music and ambient sounds, will still be of some use.
