Telltale are making a Batman game, press X to brood on rooftops in 2016

Telltale Batman

As Telltale games hop their way through the best comics in the world to turn into episodic drama games, it was only a matter of time until they got to DC’s flagship title. Yes, Telltale are making a Batman game, and it’s coming in 2016.

If the DC universe is all a bit too brooding for you, remember that Telltale are also tackling the Marvel comics universe in 2017.

There’s no real details on the game – not even a title – but Telltale say “This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”

The Arkham games have explored the nature of being the Dark Knight predator exceptionally well, but that is just one side to Batman. A Telltale game seems the right medium to explore his position as both The World’s Greatest Detective, and the responsibilities he has to Gotham City as the head of Wayne Enterprises.
