This November takes The Sims 4 out of the suburbs and into the city in a new expansion

The Sims 4 City Living

In November you’ll be able to pluck your Sims out of the sleepy suburbs and embrace hipsterdom in The Sims 4: City Living expansion. I hope there’s a minigame where your Sims are too polite to push onto the tube so they have to wait for another one, which they also miss. A friend of mine – who totally isn’t me – had that happen once.

In the fictional coastal city of San Myshuno, your Sims will be able to take part in all-new activities like playing basketball and singing at the karaoke bar. There are also five different festivals you can attend, heading along to Geekcon with your significant other or wooing them at the Romance Festival.

All this new stuff is just beyond your apartment window if you care to peek outside at the game’s new concrete playground. Obviously, once you have a new apartment, you’ll soon realise that space restrictions mean you better be committed to your decor.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a real city if it wasn’t filled with scumbag critics (hi), social media plebs (hi) and politicians (bye). Apparently working through these new job roles will eventually reward you with a stunning penthouse, with more gameplay details for those coming later. I hope I get my big city penthouse soon, being a critic and everything.

The Sims 4 City Living releases worldwide for PC and Mac November 3, 2016. Check out the all-new trailer below:
