In their pre-Gamescom newsletter, publisher Focus Home Interactive has dished some very minor deets on Deck13, who made moderately alright Souls-em-up Lords of the Fallen, and their next game, The Surge. It’s sounding similar only with a hefty dose of neon-blue space-metals rather than the usual fantasy spells and big armours as it moves into the realm of sci-fi. Here’s the full quote:
“The next project by Lords of the Fallen developer Deck13 and Focus will be revealed via interviews with some of the core team at the show. The title is a visceral hardcore RPG with innovative new combat mechanics and the first details on the game will only be presented during pre-booked behind closed door interviews.”

As for Lords of the Fallen, there is a sequel in developmentalthough, according to Eurogamer, it’s no longer being made by Deck13.
