This is the dose of fantasy noir I’ve come to expect from The Witcher 3. This trailer is Geralt as “The Man with No Name”, or maybe as Kwai Chang Caine, going from place to place in a dark country and trying to put things right. But it’s also a bit of an introduction to his search for his daughter, Ciri, and how she’s taken up her father’s mantle.

This is not a cinematic launch trailer like the last one, but more a sample of what you’ll be seeing and doing in the game. And I have to say, I like what I’m seeing here.
I also like all the old friends I can spot in this trailer: Zoltan Chivay, Vernon Roche, Thaler… even Letho. Given that I’ve played all the Witcher games in the last year, I’m really primed to see how CD Projekt bring this one home.
