Titanfall 2’s PC system requirements have been unveiled and there’s good news for pilots looking to scramble across walls on a budget.

In an almost insanely detailed look into the PC-specific tech doodads the mech-shooting sequel will arrive with on October 28, producer Drew McCoy has listed three set requirements for playing the game at specified resolutions and framerates.
For those looking to jump into the Frontier and not the debt spiral, it appears that not only will a modest rig let you get into the action but it’ll also keep framerates at a playable level rather than just letting you launch the game.

- OS -Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit
- CPU -Intel Core i3-3600t or equivalent
- RAM -8GB
- HDD Free Space – 45GB
- GPU – NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
- DirectX – 11
- Internet Connection – 512Kbps or faster
“Our goal for minimum PC specs on Titanfall 2 is that you can play at a 1600×900 resolution with most details turned on and average around 60fps,” says McCoy in the technical blog post. “We strongly believe that if you at least match the posted requirements you should have an excellent visual and gameplay experience playing the game, so don’t be alarmed if you boot it up and don’t need to turn all the settings to Low for playable framerates – our artists would actually like if you could see their work!”
From some benchmarking tests he also divulges in the post, McCoy’s team appears to have kept frames above an absolute minimum for the vast majority of playthrough sessions including AI and mechs and all the trimmings. And if you wanted to just get the game going but don’t care too much about stable fps, it’s possible you could get away with even older parts than the minimum spec. But if you’re targeting that golden 4K 60fps standard, you’re going to need a 1080.
