If you’re good at the Trials of the Blood Dragon demo on July 22, you get the game free

Trials of the Blood Dragon

Ubisoft are trying something a bit different with Trials of the Blood Dragon, giving it away for free if you ace its demo on July 22.

There is a catch, however – you have to download the demo from Uplay. I know.

“On July 22, simply download the PC demo from Uplay and complete it with 15 or fewer faults to get access to the full PC version of Trials of the Blood Dragon, free of charge,” says the official release.

In the demo you’ll be able to compete with other players in the global leaderboards, so you might catch the Trials bug. Anyone who does catch the bug will likely get it for free instead of buying it, but it seems like an attempt to get more people on the Uplay wagon, rather than trying to drive sales of the game.

Trials of the Blood Dragon boasts 30 missions across seven different worlds, and it’s not all bout dirt bikes – some levels are on-foot, some are in tanks and some are on, well, bikes.

Since it’s 2016, there’s also a grappling hook, because that’s now the law or something.
