Tropico 5’s sneaky new expansion Espionage slips onto Steam next week

Tropico 5 Espionage

Tropico 5’s going on an impossible mission next week in a new spy-themed campaign called The Maltese Toucan. Foreign agents will be doing everything they can to infiltrate and lift treasures from Tropico, so it’s up to you to make sure your counter-espionage defences are tip top.

New buildings will allow you to train spies and send them off to steal technologies and capital from enemy states. To make sure enemies don’t infiltrate Tropico through undercover work, you’ll be able to monitor all civilians and adopt new data privacy laws. An airborne Police Blimp will keep everything monitored from up high.

Espionage will add six new missions, requiring manipulation and sabotage, to Tropico 5. They come with nine new buildings, four new island maps, four new avatar costumes, six accessories, and new spying mechanics for both the campaign and multiplayer modes.

It’ll set you back $19.99, and will be available on May 28th.

Thanks, VG247.
